I've been cooking in this smock for a few weeks and the fabric has that soft, broken-in feel right out of the wash. The pockets sit exactly where my hands reach for a thermometer or towel. It's the first apron I've owned that I don't rush to take off.
The cross-back straps actually stay put when I'm reaching over the counter, which is more than I can say for my old apron. The fabric is light enough for a hot kitchen but still feels substantial. Wore it through a full Sunday shift and it barely wrinkled.
